OPSx-Avata2 Setup Manual

Tablet or phone workflow for casting the DJI Avata 2 feed to the OPS portal. Requires a moderate or higher-end Android device.

1. Connect the USB

After the drone and goggles are connected to each other, plug the USB cable from the goggles into the tablet. When the USB accessory permission dialog appears, press OK.

Important:

Do NOT check “Always open app name when this USB accessory is connected.”
Do NOT start DJI Fly.

2. Setup

Tap the gear icon in the top-right corner of the app. Enter your access code and a callsign, then press SAVE.

AES-GCM is disabled in this demo.

3. Publish

Press the Publish button. Video and basic GPS will appear on the OPS portal within a few seconds.

4. Background

The computer-screen icon in the top-right hides the app and moves it to the background.

When you bring the app back to the foreground, the video may take a few seconds to reappear.

5. Audio controls

The microphone and speaker buttons at the bottom of the screen enable and disable their respective functions.
