02 / Background
Built from the field
8+ years of hands-on work across drone operations, GIS, video systems, and public safety tech.
Computer Vision & Industry Return
I started in computer vision — early work on stand counting of corn at the V2 stage. In 2018, after recovering from a health issue, I came back to the industry as a contract developer for Eagle Eye Intelligence in Boca Raton, Florida (now Strax Intelligence Group).
Responder Air & Real-World Lessons
Later in 2018, I founded Responder Air, one of the first 911 AR overlay solutions in the drone space. The platform put real-time 911 address and street overlays directly onto live drone video.
Working with teams like the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office, the system got refined until it actually held up in operations.
During the nationwide unrest in 2020, I offered free live streaming to public safety agencies across the U.S. under the name Responder Cast.
On April 22, 2021, Responder Cast was acquired by GenPac Drones.

Stepping Back to Build Better
After the acquisition I went deep on AR overlay tech and kept working across the industry. I learned, the hard way, what it's like being founder, developer, integrator, and operator all at once.
I stepped out of the public spotlight but never stopped helping teams or supporting operations.
What Drives TFOdev Today
My interest has never really been flying for the sake of flying. It's integration — tying systems together so situational awareness actually works in the field.
I'm still hands-on with law enforcement, search and rescue, and emergency response teams. That field work isn't a side project, it's the source. Every platform I build comes out of real problems I've watched teams run into.
Current focus: the re-release of SARTrack — focused tools, narrow scope, high operational impact.
